HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS PUTO

CHRISTMAS PUTO INGREDIENTS AND PROCEDURES.



Ingredients for puto:
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
1/4 teaspoon fine salt
2 egg whites
1/4 cup full cream evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups water
Butter for greasing the moulds
Red, green, yello food color

Procedure:
1. Grease puto moulds with butter and set aside. Boil water in the steamer over medium – high heat.
2. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder in a mixing bowl.
3. In another mixing bowl, whisk egg whites, milk and water until well combined.
4. Add flour mixture and mix until well combined.
5. divide mixture into three, then add food color to the divided mixture
6. Place the filled moulds to the prepared steamer and cook the puto for 17 - 20 minutes.
7. To check, skewer a toothpick at the center of the puto and if the stick comes out clean, it is cooked.
8. Remove the cooked puto from the steamer, cool the puto slightly before un-moulding. Serve.

Ingredients for Yema:
5 egg yolks
2 tbsp butter
1 can condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

1. Combine egg yolks and 1 can of condensed milk. In a pan. Cook until thick, stirring continuously.
2. Add vanilla and butter, and set aside when reached to the desired consistency.

Here's Idol sa Kusina Recipe for Episode 43- FRIED CORNED BEEF BALLS. Ingredients: 500g corned beef 6 pcs. eggs 1 pc. white onion 1 clove garlic 4 loaves bread, white part only, soaked in fresh milk ½ cup fresh milk 30g spring onion 30g celery 1 cup rice 100g all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. white pepper For garnish: julienne carrots and julienne pumpkin Procedure: 1. Saute onion, garlic, celery. Add corned beef. season with salt and pepper. Set aside. 2. On mixing bowl, add bread loaves, spring onion, beaten egg, all-purpose flour. Combine all together. 3. Form into balls and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and set aside. 4. Saute white rice in butter. Add beaten egg, turn once until done. 5. Place on plate over top with corned beef balls.
