Anthurium for me is one of the hardest plants to take care of but I must say it is one of my favorites as I was able to make my Clarinervium thrive. Eggshell Powder is an All-Natural Plant Fertilizer. Every time I will cook an egg I used to wash and dry out the shell and make a powder for my plants. I have bought an egg crusher in Lazada worth only P160. You can simply add crushed eggshells in or on the soil as a natural way of providing your indoor plants with extra calcium. In 2020 the price of one leaf of Ilsemanii Variegated was P80,000 for a medium size. At the first quarter of 2023 the price of the plant drop to P10,000 for a medium size plant. Rare plants are expensive and so we want to protect their leaves on Aphids, Mites and Catterpillars. Monstera Legacy looks like a Monstera Mint. You can hardly differentiate the two on their Juvenile form. Monstera Minst has a finer shadow of green splash than Monstera Legacy. The price of Legacy cost around P100,00 to P150,000 during pandemic and now dropped to P15,000 for Juvenile form. Whenever we buy expensive plants we always wanted to propagate them, either for the purpose of selling or keeping them. Raphidophora Tetrasperma is known to thrive in a chunky medium like coco cubes, pumice and coco peat. The plant needs lots of bright indirect light to thrive. Since it has small leaves you can use powdered eggshell and mix it on the soil to achieve strong and thicker leaves. Tetrasperma is popularly known as little Monstera due to the significance of their leaves. During the height of pandemic, one leaf of Variegated Tetrasperma cost about P300,000 to P500,000 pesos. In early 2022, the price dropped to P50,000 per leaf and in the first quarter of 2023, you can laready buy a plant with 3 to 4leaves for only P8,000. My forecast price for Variegated Tetrasperma by fourth quarter of the year is P500 per leaf. The variegated Golden Dragon is one of my wishlist plant. If you have a Florida Beauty, Variegated Bipenifolium and variegated Billitiae, the same care you applied to those plants are applicable to variegated Golden Dragon. The plant needs high humidity and lots of bright indirect sunlight in order to thrive well and maintain its variegation.  The price of Variegated Golden Dragon in 2020 is P200,000 for three medium leaves. It has the same market price with variegated Billitiae. As of March 2023, the price of one leaf variegated Golden Dragon is as low as P10,000 to P15,000 depends on the quality of its variegation.  Care Tips and Propagation:  Provide a plant pole for the plant to climb and activate its aerial roots. Water only once a week during cold weather and 2 to 3 times a week during hot summer. Use slow release fetilizer such as Osmocote 14-14-1. Cut and propgate when aerial roots becomes active already.   During propagation choose a mixture of loose medium such as pumice, co

Variegated Green Congo is one of the most expensive variegated plants in 2021 due to its scarcity. A plant with 3 to 4 leaves will cost around P200,000. In early 2022, the price dropped to P30,000 per leaf. As of this writing, you can already buy one leaf of variegated Green Congo for only P8,000. My forecast is at the end of 2023, one leaf will cost only P1,500.  Care Tips and Propagation:  Best to use a soilless medium, a mix of coco peat, coco cubes, pumice, and vermicast during propagation. Water the plant twice or thrice a week during summer and once a week only during cold weather. Place the plant in a high humid location with bright indirect sunlight. You can place it inside your house near the window where it can get enough sunlight. Still best to put it outside, in your garden. Use slow release fertilizer with 14-14-14 balance. Since it is a variegated plant, refrain from usaing Urea as fertilizer.

Philodendron Caramel Marble is on top of the rareplant collector's plant "wishlist". In 2020, one leaf Caramel Marble cost aroung P500,00, almost the same price with variegated Billitiae. In 2022 the price of the plant dropped to P50,000 per leaf and currently, you can buy the one leaf for only 15,000 to P20,000 depending on the quality of variegation.  Plant Care and Propagation:  Use a mixture of coco husk, coco peat, coco cubes, pumice and vermicast as a medium. Let the aerial roots crawl the plant pole to activate it before cutting and replanting. You can use a coco pole, but I suggest using moss pole since it is looser. Water the plant two to three times a week during summer. Do not overwater as this will cause root rot. Put it on a high humid place and under indirect sunlight.  Do not over water the plant as this will cause root rot, Water it when the top two inches of the soil is already dry. Philodendron Strawberry Shake variegated is very beautiful when there's a splash of pink and yellow on its leaves. However, its variegation is prone to revert. When you saw a reverted leaf/leaves in Strawberry Shake just cut it and the new leaf when sprawl might have a good variegation again. I bought my Strawberry Shake at he last quarter of 2022 with 2 leaves and mild variegation for P16,000.  From 2020 to 2021, the price of one leaf cost range from P30,000 to P40,000. As of this writing, you can buy one leaf for P800 to P1,000 only. Care Tips and Propagation: The moment you saw a leaf/leaves that reverted, then that is the best time to cut and propagate the plant to have its variegation back both on the cuttings and the mother plant. Use a loose soil mix like coco peat and pumice with vermicast.   Philodendron Strawberry Shake is a good buy plant for rare plant collectors, especially now that it is more affordable. The Monstera Borsigiana Mint is somehow very similar to Borsigiana Albo and Monstera Green of Green but with mint or greeny tiny dots on its leaves. The plant care and propagation should be the same as Monstera Borsigiana Albo. You need to place the plant in a bright indirect sunlight, most recommended in a humid place. Do not use Urea as a fertilizer because the leaves of the plant will revert to full green. Personally, I use Osmocote and Thermocote for my variegated plants to enhance their variegation. I am yet to buy a Monstera Mint plant since it is a bit pricey until now. From 2020 to 2021, one leaf of Borsigiana Mint cost P100,000. In late 2022, the price of the plant dropped from P40,000 to P60,000 per leaf. As of this writing, you can buy one leaf brosi Mint for P20,000 to P30,000. Monstera Thai Cons can be grown through tissue cultured. Which means it can be reproduced in mass numbers. Unlike Monstera Borsigiana Albo which can be propagated only by stem cuttings. And what does it mean. Anytime soon the supply of this plant will be greater than the demand and the producer of the plant mostly from Thailand will have to decrease its price.   I remember I have watch one plant vlogger and she said that she bought her Thai Cons (big size) before pandemic for only nine hundred pesos. And during pandemic the price of medium thai cons skyrocketed to forty thousand to eighty thousand and big size or extra large would cost as much as one hundred thousand pesos. I suggest for the buyer to wait the price drop before buying this beautiful pant. Because from personal experience, I have my medium size Thai Cons with only three leaves in 2021 for sixteen thousand pesos. This time you can but such for only three thousand five hundred to four thousand pesos. I believed in third qu

In my experience plants can also thrive well in Porcelain Ceramic pots. I used to plant and propagate mg favorite plants in a well-draining plastic pot and sometimes in a clay pot.  One time I tried to plant my Shangrila Pothos propagation in a ceramic pot and it thrive well. So on my next propagation of rare plants, I have chosen to plant them in imported porcelain pots (actual pictures below). Although there is only one hole at the bottom, I used a fast-draining soil mix so the water won't get stuck which might cause root rot. I used a mixture of coco fiber, coco cubes and loam soil to make the soil mix a bit loose. Coco fiber will retain moisture so you don't have to water the plant everyday. I have propagated my Adansonii Albo and Aurea, also my Variegated Bipen and Variegated Philodendron Burle Marx The photo above is five leafer Monstera Adansonii Aurea which I cut from a mother plant bought from Thailand.
