HOW TO MAKE LECHE FRITA

LECHE FRITA INGREDIENTS AND PROCEDURES. Ingredients:  1 Liter Milk ½ Cup Olive oil 2 Eggs 60 Grams Corn flour 60 Grams All Purpose Flour 1 stick of Cinnamon For Dusting 115 Grams Sugar Ground Cinnamon Oil for frying Procedure: 1. Dilute the flour together with the corn flour and sugar in ¼ l of milk and olive oil . 2. In low heat boil the rest of the milk with the cinnamon stick for 5-10 and add it, after straining, into the paste made earlier. 3. Simmer the mixture on a low heat, without stopping stirring, for a period of 10 minutes. Put it on a tray greased with oil and allow to cool. 4. Once the mixture is cold, cut it into rectangles. Dredge it into flour and beaten egg and frying them on a medium heat in the Dry off the excess oil and sprinkle them with sugar and ground cinnamon.

PREP TIME 10 mins COOK TIME 1 hour 20 mins TOTAL TIME 1 hour 30 mins Serves: 12 servings INGREDIENTS 1 cup granulated sugar 5 large eggs 4 oz cream cheese, softened 1 can (370 ml) evaporated milk 1 can (300 ml) sweetened condensed milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350° F. Place sugar in a 5X9 inch loaf pan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally until sugar has dissolved and caramel in color. Remove pan from heat and set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in a blender, combine and process eggs, cream cheese, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla until smooth. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Ingredients 1/2 (12-oz.) container ready-to-spread white frosting 1 (11-oz.) package cream-filled chocolate cake squares 1 (0.68-oz.) tube black decorating gel Preparation 1. Microwave frosting in a microwave-safe bowl at HIGH 30 seconds to 1 minute or until melted; stir until smooth. Let stand 2 minutes. 2. Place 1 cup melted frosting in a gallon-size zip-top plastic bag. (Do not seal.) Snip 1 corner of bag to make a small hole. Pipe frosting onto each cake square in the shape of a ghost, adding remaining frosting to bag as needed. Pipe 2 dots on each cake using black gel to form eyes.

Since it's my birthday, and I miss halo-halo, I bought one from Max's Restaurant well of course aside from Max's Chicken where the restaurant is known for. Halo-halo (from Tagalog word halò, "mix") is a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture ofshaved ice and evaporated milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served in a tall glass or bowl. Ingredients include boiled kidney beans, garbanzos, sugar palm fruit (kaong), coconut sport(macapuno), and plantains caramelized in sugar, jackfruit (langkâ), gulaman, tapioca or sago,nata de coco, sweet potato (kamote), pounded crushed young rice (pinipig). In terms of arrangement, most of the ingredients (fruits, beans, and other sweets) are first placed inside the tall glass, followed by the shaved ice. This is then sprinkled with sugar, and topped with either (or a combination of) leche flan, purple yam (ube halaya), or ice cream. Evaporated milk is poured into the mixture upon serving.
