Idol sa Kusina Recipe- SARDINAS PASTA

Here's Idol sa Kusina Recipe for Episode 123/Jan. 5, 2014- SARDINAS PASTA. Ingredients: 500g spaghetti pasta, cooked 3 tbsp oil 3 cloves garlic, sliced 1 white onion, chopped 1 cup whole cherry tomatoes 1 tsp chili flakes 1 can chickpea 1 can sardines in tomato sauce cheddar cheese to top spring onion for garnish lemon wedges Photo and recipe credit: Idol sa Kusina PROCEDURE: 1.In a pan, saute onion, whole cherry tomatoes and garlic in little oil. 2. Add chickpeas and chili flakes. 3.Then add sardines with tomato sauce and simmer. 4. Top it over the pasta and add grated cheddar on top. Garnish with spring onions and sliced lemon.

Sarah Geronimo now wanted to try to become a good chef by enrolling in a cooking class. Mirepoix (cuisine)

What is Mirepoix (cuisine)? In French cuisine, a Mirepoix is a combination of onions, carrots, and celery (either common pascal celery orceleriac). Mirepoix, either raw, roasted or sautéed with butter, is the flavor base for a wide number of dishes, such as stocks, soups, stews and sauces. The three ingredients are commonly referred to as aromatics. Similar combinations of vegetables are known as holy trinity in Creole cooking, refogado in Portuguese, soffritto in Italian, sofrito in Spanish and Suppengrün (soup green(s)) in Germany.
