Monstera Creme Brulee Compact Price Update and Care Tips

Monstera Creme Brulee is another variegated version of Thai Constellation. The color of the leaves is predominantly with a cream splash. The price of Creme Brule in 2020 is ranging from P100,000 to P150,000 depends on the size and quality of variegation.

The best fertilizer for variegated plants like Monstera Creme Brule are slow-release fertilizers like Thermocote, 14-13-13 Formula (Total Nitrogen: 14% / Beneficial Phosphorus: 13% / Soluble Potassium: 13%). How to use or apply Thermocote on your plants.

It has been formulated with the perfect balance of NPK for bonsai, cactus, and succulent plants. The nutrients are contained inside a dissolvable coating. They are called prills, pellets or granules. This product is heat-activated. That means that they release the food according to the ambient temperature in which they are used. In cooler temperatures, they release less food and in higher temperatures when plants demand more food, they release more. This is caused by micropores in the coating which get bigger or smaller according to temperature. Thermocote granules coated with a patented plastic film from Japan called Thermoplastic. It has many microscopic pores that become smaller and larger with temperature changes. Which is directly related to plant growth. Thermocote is able to release nutrients appropriately at the time the plant needs it. The amount of food release is controlled only by temperature. Even if the plant receives too much water, it will not release more food than the plant needs. Therefore, the loss is not lost premature, and don't worry that there will be a danger to the root system like a burn.

Some brands are activated by moisture. If the plants are over-watered, they may release too much food. With heat-activated pellets, you have better control over the amount of food that is dispensed. Simply sprinkle 1 teaspoonful (5 grams) of Thermocote for every liter of soil in the pot, over the surface of the soil, and apply water. The water will soften the coating and activate the micropores. Repeat every 90 days. If you are mixing fresh potting soil, add 5 grams for each liter of soil to the mix. Then, when your plant is in the pot, sprinkle the same rate on the surface of the soil and apply water to soften the coating, and start the micropore process. Repeat after 90 days.
  • Keep container tightly closed.
  • Avoid moisture, protect from direct sunlight when not in use.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
