Here's Idol sa Kusina Recipe for Episode 70 / Nov. 18 -SQUID AND BOK CHOY CHOW MIEN.
Ingredients:
500 g peeled squid, cress cut into pieces
500 g bok choy (blanched)
500 g soft noodles (for crispy chow mien noodles)
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. chicken powder
2 tbsp. corn starch (slurry)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Cooking oil for deep-frying
1 pc onion
10 g chopped garlic
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 cups water
Procedure:
1. Sauté onion, garlic. Add bok choy, soy sauce oyster sauce, chicken powder, squid, and water. Thicken mixture with slurry corn starch, and set aside.
2. Deep-fry soft noodles until crispy. Place on plate, pour sautéed bok choy and squid on top, and serve hot.
