Unang Hirit Recipe- Menudo con Tsokolate

Here's Unang Hirit Kitchen Hirit of the day- February 3, 2014: Menudo con Tsokolate with Chef Cris Esguerra.

Ingredients:

siling haba
kamatis
mantika
sibuyas
bawang
cocoa powder
pamintang buo
laurel
manok
pork belly
chicken broth
gata
pata
chorizo de bilbao
patatas
wansuy

Procedure:

1. Pakuluan sa chicken stock, pamintang buo, laurel at bawang ang pata at liempo hanggang lumambot. Hiwain ng katamtamang laki pag bahagyang lumamig. Isantabi ang pinagpakuluan o ang 'caldo'.

2. Igisa sa lard or mantika ang chorizo de bilbao. Hintaying mamula ang mantika bago ilagay ang sibuyas at hiniwang pata at liempo.

3. Ibudbod ang cocoa powder bago ibuhos ang canned tomatoes, 'caldo', garbanzos at mga sili. Pakuluan saglit.

4. Ihain sa individual bowls at lagyan ng pritong patatas at wansuy bago i-serve.
