Idol sa Kusina Recipe Fried Lumpiang Ubod and Veggie Ukoy

Here's Idol sa Kusina Recipe Fried Lumpiang Ubod and Veggie Ukoy with Vinegar Dip. 

Ingredients for the Fried Lumpiang Ubod:
  • 500g ubod (palm heart), cut into thin strips
  • 1 chicken breast, boiled and flaked
  • 1 head garlic, chopped 
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsps fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lumpia (spring roll) wrappers
  • Cooking oil for stir frying
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
  • cornstarch diluted in water

Ingredients for the Veggie Ukoy:
  • 500g squash, julienned or grated
  • 150g carrots, grated or thinly sliced
  • 2 tbspsgreen onions, thinly sliced
  • 150 grams cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 125g flour
  • 60g cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 80ml water
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Cooking oil for frying

Ingredients for the Vinegar Dip:
  • 60 ml white vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Soy sauce
  • Red onions
  • Brown sugar 
  • Siling labuyo
