I am an ex-Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) for 14 years. I went to Dubai in 2005 and started a gout attack in 2012 due to high uric acid which I might acquire from constant drinking of beer and eating fatty and salty foods like red meat, and nuts and drinking beer and soda. Gout is very painful that you will need to favor the one foot that was affected so you can walk.
When I transferred to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, my gout attack becomes persistent and attacked from time to time. Usually, it will last from 5 days to 14 days especially when it gets swollen. In December of 2018, my gout attack got worse to the point that I needed a shawl just to reach the comfort room. The swollen part lasted for two months and keeps on coming back.
In June 2019, I decided to go back home to treat gout. The first thing I did was to increase my water intake and stay away from beer and fatty foods. Apple Cider vinegar also makes wonders together with baking soda mixed in hot water. Gout attacks usually occur during winter and since the Philippines is a tropical country, it also helps in completely healing and preventing a gout attack.
Now, occasionally I can even drink, soda and beer and eat red meat without worrying of a gout attack.
