Just like the regular or green masoniana, this Sansevieria variety can thrive both in low light and direct sunlight. If you want your plant to have a good variegation, you need to sun-stress the plant to enhance its variegation. I bought my Variegated Masoniana for 2 medium leaves at P2,500. Now you can buy medium-sized Variegated Masoniana for only P500.
Watering:
Best to water the plant every 14 days if it's inside your house and seven to ten days if it's placed outside.
Fertilizer:
Since it is a variegated plant, use MaxxiCote,a controlled release fertilizer, is a granulated fertilizer that releases nutrients gradually into the soil. Because it is comprised of water soluble nutrients, it is absorbed into the plant slowly preventing overfertilizing and burning. This fertilizer is engineered to help promote bigger and healthier plants. One application only needed every 90 days. This fertilizer has 14-14-14 which means that it has equal percentages of the elements Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Potassium which is essential for potted plants indoors and outdoors. Directions for usage: 1. 1-2 scoops only per plant. 1 scoop only for small plants. Can be placed on top of soil or mixed in the medium.
2. Application is only once every 90 days.
3. Water immediately after application to activate the slow release property of the fertilizer.
4. Application must be done at dusk or dawn; preferably when the heat is less.
5. Do not use on newly planted or newly shipped plants. Please allow imported plants to be acclimated before applying fertilizer.
6. Do not use on cuttings that are not yet rooted. STORAGE: Store in a place with dry and moderate temperature ranging from 21 degrees celcius to 25 degrees celcius. Can be used up to 2 years from production date.
