How to Grow Big the Philodendron Melanochrysum

Philodendron Melanochrysum is one of the most beautiful Philodendrons but a bit hard to take care of. I bought my Philodendron Melanochrysum mother plant from Cavite for P4,000 for about 2.5 feet in height. The plant needs constant watering and enough bright indirect sunlight to thrive.

Here are some tips to grow your Philodendron Melanochrysum:

1. Provide it with bright, indirect light or bright, filtered light.
2. Keep the potting mix moist.
3.Provide with humidity and warm temperatures.
4.Use well-draining potting mix that holds some moisture.
5. Repot when ROOTBOUND.
6. Give it a moss pole to climb.
7. Osmocote every 3 months.
8. AFF at least once a week.
9. Fungicide twice a month or when necessary.
10. HB 101 (foliar spray) for some glow-up shine
